What to Expect

From first call to finished product — here's how we work.

Our Process

Every project is different, but the process is the same. Here's what a typical job looks like from start to finish.

01

Reach Out

Give us a call, fill out the contact form, or send an email. Tell us what you need — even if it's just a rough idea. We'll let you know if we can help (we usually can).

02

We'll Talk It Through

We prefer a quick phone call so we can understand your project, then follow up by email so everything is in writing. We'll confirm what's possible and ask for any files, photos, or sketches you have.

03

Design & Approval

We design your project in Fusion 360 and send you images for review. We'll make revisions until you're happy with the design. If you already have production-ready files, even better — send them over and we'll get right to quoting.

04

Deposit & Build

Once you approve the design, we send a quote via QuickBooks. We ask for 50% upfront to cover materials. Then we get to work — most projects are completed within two to three weeks. Rush service is available for time-sensitive work.

05

Pickup or Delivery

Most customers pick up their project at our shop in Lehi. We also deliver locally and ship nationwide when needed. You pay the remaining balance on completion.

Pricing Expectations

Every project is unique, so pricing depends on materials, machine time, and labor. Here's a rough guide to give you an idea of what to expect.

$200 – $1,000

Personal Projects

Single prototypes, personal items, small one-off pieces. Great for hobbyists, gifts, or testing an idea.

$1,000 – $5,000

Small Business

Prototyping, small production runs, custom signage, branded items. Ideal for startups and small businesses.

$5,000 – $20,000+

Larger Projects

Large production runs, commercial fixtures, theatrical sets, multi-piece installations. For contractors and businesses with bigger scopes.

Pricing is based on material cost + machine time + manual labor. We also offer a rush fee for time-sensitive projects. Every quote is custom — reach out and we'll give you an honest number.

Have Files Ready?

If you've got design files, send them over — we'll review and quote from there. We accept most standard formats:

DXFDWGAISVGSTLSTP/STEPOBJF3D (Fusion 360)

We work in Fusion 360, so F3D files are ideal. For 2D work, DXF and SVG are the most common. For 3D, STL and STEP work great.

Don't Have Files?

No problem — most of our customers don't. Just bring us what you've got:

  • A sketch on a napkin
  • A photo of something similar
  • A description of what you need
  • Just an idea in your head

We offer full design services — we'll draw it up in Fusion 360 and send you images for approval before anything gets cut.

Good to Know

Materials

If you have your own materials, great — but we also have local suppliers and can provide the material for you. About 75% of the time, we supply materials. Baltic Birch plywood is our go-to.

Turnaround Time

Most projects are completed within 2–3 weeks. We offer rush service for time-sensitive work — just let us know your deadline.

Where We Serve

We're based in Lehi and serve all of Utah — most of our work is in Utah Valley, Salt Lake Valley, and Park City. We also ship nationwide.

What We Don't Do

We don't work with ferrous metals (steel, iron). We can do aluminum, but if you need steel or welding, that's not us. We also do limited finish work — most customers finish pieces themselves.

Payment

50% deposit upfront to cover materials, remaining 50% on completion. We invoice through QuickBooks.

Best Way to Reach Us

A phone call is ideal for the first conversation — we can quickly figure out if your project is a good fit. Follow up by email so we have everything in writing.
