CNC Routing Services

Precision cutting and carving for wood, plastic, acrylic, foam, and aluminum.

What is CNC Routing?

CNC routing is essentially really precise, computer-controlled cutting and carving. Where a table saw cuts straight lines, a CNC brings to life the artistic, organic shapes that you can't get from typical woodworking — and it does it repeatably. We can cut the same design over and over with minor adjustments, making it ideal for both one-off art pieces and production runs of thousands.

We do both 2D and 3D cutting. Most of our work is 2D — profile cuts from plywood, signage, custom parts — but we also do 3D carving like concrete sink forms, spiral banisters, and decorative cabinet feet using our rotary axis. Our larger machine handles full sheets up to 5' × 10' and material up to 10" thick. Every project is designed in Fusion 360 and precision-cut to your specs.

Materials We Work With

Wood makes up about 90% of our work — Baltic Birch plywood is our go-to. But we cut anything a router bit can handle: non-ferrous metals, plastics, foams, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can you CNC route?
We work primarily with wood — Baltic Birch plywood is our go-to. We also CNC route HDPE plastic, acrylic, foam, composite, PVC, and aluminum. About 90% of our work is wood-based.
How big of a piece can your CNC handle?
Our larger machine cuts up to 5 feet by 10 feet with material up to about 10 inches thick. Our shop CNC does 4 feet by 4 feet. We handle everything from small prototypes to full-sheet production runs.
Do you do both 2D and 3D CNC work?
Yes. Most of our CNC work is 2D — profile cuts, signage, custom parts from plywood. But we also do 3D carving like concrete sink forms, spiral banisters, and decorative cabinet feet using our rotary axis.
Do I need to provide design files for CNC routing?
Not at all. Most customers don't have files. Bring us a sketch, photo, or description and we'll design it in Fusion 360. If you do have files, we accept DXF, SVG, STL, STEP, OBJ, F3D, AI, and DWG.
